Satoris’ innovations in molecular diagnostics for neurological disease are fueled by a diverse team of focused individuals, in collaboration with world-class clinicians. Led by a management team with broad biotechnology leadership experience, Satoris is distinguished by both vision and practical solutions.

Patrick G. Lynn
Executive Chairman
Before joining Satoris, Mr. Lynn was co-founder and CEO of Rinat Neuroscience (a Genentech spinout in 2001 and Pfizer acquisition in 2006).  Prior to Rinat, he was a founding member and Director of an early stage healthcare venture fund with a focus on the medical device industry.  In this capacity, he served on the Board of Directors of Spinal Concepts, which was subsequently sold to Abbott Laboratories. Prior to this, he was with Coopers & Lybrand for 5 years as a management consultant working with biotechnology and medical device companies in the areas of strategic planning, finance and M&A activity. Mr. Lynn began his career as a product development leader at Microgenics, a medical diagnostics company. Mr. Lynn earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.B.A. from Cornell University.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Cris McReynolds
President & CEO
Mr. McReynolds has worked in the diagnostics business for over 30 years, holding business and corporate development positions within a number of diagnostic and biotech firms, including Syva and Syntex, Triton Biosciences, and Genelabs.  He was an early member of the management team at Cepheid , with responsibility for developing and implementing Cepheid’s partnering and commercialization strategies over a seven year period.  Most recently he served as Vice President of Business Development within the Molecular Diagnostics business unit of Affymetrix, establishing and managing a number of strategic development and commercialization partnerships focused on the diagnostic application of genomic array technology.

Lynn Kozma
Development Director
Ms. Kozma has over 10 years experience leading diagnostic assay development teams at Metabolex and Cepheid. She holds a BS in Microbiology from Cornell, and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Virginia.

Anand Sethuraman
Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics
Mr. Sethuraman has over 8 year experience as a senior scientific and bioinformatic programmer in the Stanford Department of Genentics. Bioinformatic and database consulting assignments with Satoris, Monogram Biosciences, Applied Biosystems, and Ingenuity Systems. His Post-doctorate was in the laboratory of Dr. Arthur Kornberg, Nobel Laureate.

Bill McMillan
Development Consultant
Mr. McMillan was co-founder of Cepheid in 1996, creating and guiding its R&D organization.  Previously, he was Program Manager for the development of a range of products, including a rapid, automated immunoassay analysis system for Syva Company, a subsidiary of Syntex Corporation.  Prior to moving into industry, McMillan was a research public health microbiologist at the California State Department of Health, Microbial Diseases Laboratory.

David Shewmake, Ph.D.
Information Systems Consultant
Dr. Shewmake is a consultant in the area of healthcare information technology and biomedical informatics.   During his career he has been involved in senior management for several early stage companies, most recently with Berkeley HeartLab which was acquired by Celera.  Dr. Shewmake received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. in Medical Information Science from UCSF.

Holly Merrick
Customer and Technical Service Director
Ms. Merrick is the former Manager of Technical and Customer Support at Cepheid. She has twenty two years experience in the biotech industry, including developing TDM assays for clinical diagnostics at Syva; setting up and managing technical training and support for the Life Science Research customers at Molecular Devices, and setting up and managing the technical training and support, instrument service and customer service functions for Life Science Research and Medical Diagnostic products at Cepheid. Ms. Merrick holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from San Jose State University.
