Satoris is a young, dynamic company using leading edge molecular biology and bioinformatics to develop diagnostic tests that have the potential to revolutionize the management and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. In collaboration with scientists at Stanford University and other leading research institutions, we determined that the pattern of communication between cells can provide important insight into disease processes and we have identified a group of signaling proteins that serve as a unique “voiceprint” that can be used for early detection and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. The simple blood test that Satoris is developing offers the promise, in combining early diagnosis with early treatment, of sparing patients from the worst effects of the disease.
